A: Yes, and all products include the cost of global shipping, and VAT if applicable.
Q: So what exactly is silicone?
A: Silicone is made from sand (silica) and carbon. The Contiki Global Water Bottle is made of 100% pure
medical grade silicone — a standard even higher than food grade silicone, passing all U.S. safety
requirements and even tougher European standards.

A: Silicone is safer, more flexible, and more sustainable than plastic. Unlike plastics, silicone is not
Q: Are Contiki Global Water Bottles BPA free?
A: Yes. No BPA, BPS, lead, latex, or phthalates.
Q: How many times can the bottle be reused?
A: The bottle is endlessly reusable; assuming the bottle and membrane is rinsed after each use and
washed after 5 uses or at least weekly. The membrane should be replaced after 1,000 liters consumed
(or every 16 months). The carbon pouches should be replaced after 100 liters (or every 2 months). The
bottle comes with two carbon pouches.
Q: How do you recycle them?
A: We’ve made the bottle as reusable as possible, silicone is recyclable, though it usually has to be
dropped off at your local recycling center that accepts silicone.
The membrane and carbon pouches have a blend of PP and ABS as well as a PES membrane. Due to the
nature of the materials, which are sealed, at end of life these items are currently not recyclable.
Q: Are they created in sustainable and ethical conditions?
A: Our supply partner is a certified B Corp, which means that good and responsible practices are

A: The bottle is designed to filter and purify water only. We do not recommend the bottle is used for any
Q: And if I want to store the bottle in the freezer?
A: We do not recommend putting the bottle in the freezer, however the bottle can handle ice cubes, but
note the outside of the bottle may sweat, this is normal external condensation, and does not affect the
performance of the bottle.
Q: Is the bottle dishwasher safe?
A: The bottle is dishwasher safe providing the membrane, carbon pouch and lid is removed. Use the
upper rack for best results. Just don’t flip the bottle inside out, it can compromise the sealed edges.
Q: Is the bottle approved by TSA or other agencies for flying with carry-on liquids?
A: Like any other water bottle, remember to empty the bottle completely prior to passing through
security. Once through security, fill up at any airport water station.
Q: Is your website secure?
A: Absolutely. You can shop in safety at contiki.com/waterbottle. The checkout page where credit
card or PayPal information is entered is secure.
Q: How do I remove items from my cart?
A: To the right of each item in your shopping cart there is a number representing quantity. You can click
on that number and change to update. Make it “0” if you’d like to remove the item altogether.
Q: What currency is the transaction
A: All purchases through our online store are only available in US Dollars. We are not able to accept
other currencies, however most credit card companies automatically adjust the transaction total to your

A: We hope that you are completely satisfied with your Global Water Bottle. If you wish to return the
bottle, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. This return and exchange policy applies only to
purchases made on the contiki.com/waterbottle site.
After 30 days, we will not accept returns for any reason. We do not accept returns of used products
(unless they are somehow defective). Bottles damaged due to misuse (e.g., cut, ripped, punctured) are
not considered defective and are not eligible for refund or exchange. Items damaged from standard
wear & tear are not considered defective and are not eligible for refund or exchange.
